South East London has the highest prevalence of people living with HIV in the UK with almost half (42%) of new diagnoses being from BAME communities in 2018.

In order to address the needs of key populations, the ICS needs to deploy a range of strategies to respond to variable needs acrossdiverse communities living with or at risk of HIV in SEL. This briefing creates a profile of what the current state of HIV care in Southeast London.

People living with HIV in South East London experience fragmented where they are seen in multiple different clinics, across London. Unmitigated fragmentation results in information gaps, repetition by different health care providers and general inefficiency.
