Help shape resources and policy for young adults living with HIV

Time to read

National AIDS Trust is launching a new project aimed at tackling inequalities and supporting the rights and wellbeing of young adults living with HIV in the UK. We are looking to recruit six young people living with HIV aged 18-27 to join our project advisory group, running from June to December 2025.

This advisory group will play a central role in co-designing accessible resources for young people, and informing a toolkit and policy briefing that sets out how the health system and the UK’s HIV response can better meet the needs of young people living with HIV.

What the project will do:

  • Produce a series of short explainer videos, shaped by young people, focusing on key life moments and exercising rights.
  • Develop a toolkit to support young people navigating life with HIV — from managing healthcare and employment to understanding your legal rights.
  • Deliver a policy briefing based on young people’s insights, aimed at UK governments, commissioners and other decision-makers.

As an advisory group member, you will:

  • Take part in monthly 45-minute online meetings (from June to December). We can offer £25 for each monthly meeting you attend
  • Share your experiences and ideas to help co-create the content and focus of the briefing, toolkit and videos
  • Review draft materials and contribute to the development of our policy recommendations
