Gary has over 15 years’ experience in senior management in the third sector.
Currently he is Head of Policy, Communications & Communities at Scottish Refugee Council, Scotland’s national refugee charity with responsibility for the charity’s policy, research, communications, community development and public affairs functions. He is a member of the European Council on Refugees and Exiles.
He previously worked as a language teacher and Director of Studies in language centres in France, Russia and Denmark. He has an MSc in Human Rights and Citizenship and has sat on the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations’ Policy Committee.
