National AIDS Trust is calling on you to #RockTheRibbon for people living with HIV this World AIDS Day.
Taking place annually on December 1, World AIDS Day is a time to stand up for those impacted by HIV, past and present, and call for a better future. By wearing the iconic red ribbon, you are joining a community that shows solidarity with people living with HIV while remembering lives lost.
Today National AIDS Trust launches it’s World AIDS Day website, which includes information on different ways that you can get involved. The website includes resources to help you fundraise for National AIDS Trust, and links to purchase items, including red ribbon brooches and tote bags. If you’d like a free box of 100 red ribbons to give to friends, family, colleagues or customers in exchange for donations, get in contact.
The website also includes links to download National AIDS Trust’s World AIDS Day 2023 poster and social media graphics to help spread the word. These feature photography of three inspiring individuals who strive to make the world a better place for people living with HIV. Read more about Garry, Louise and Eli.
Deborah Gold, Chief Executive of National AIDS Trust said: “We are extremely proud to have Garry, Louise and Eli leading National AIDS Trust’s World AIDS Day 2023 campaign. All three are inspiring individuals who strive to make the world a better place for people living with HIV in their own unique way and continue the incredible legacy of HIV activism.
“Our World AIDS Day 2023 imagery represents the power of community and encourages others to stand in solidarity with all people living with HIV. We celebrate the HIV activists have refused to let HIV stigma stand in the way of progress since the start of the HIV pandemic through to today.
“Each World AIDS Day is bigger and better than last and we’re excited for people #RockTheRibbon with us on December 1 to create a future where HIV doesn’t stand in the way for anyone.”
