After an inaugural event last year that guests acclaimed as “a fantastic night, for a fantastic cause”, “a heart-full evening” and “the best event of its kind I’ve ever been to,” National AIDS Trust is delighted to be bringing their flagship Drag Raise fundraising evening back to central London.

At Diageo’s glamorous Luminist Bar, the event – taking place on 3 July – is returning this year even bigger and better.

Ginger Johnson, RuPaul’s Drag Race UK Season 5 winner, will host the evening, which will also feature bespoke cocktails, delicious canapés, a popup MAC makeup artist station, a luxury auction and a raffle with some exclusive prizes, alongside performances from the star-studded lineup which will include more of the best-loved stars of UK drag.

Ginger Johnson, said:

“I am delighted to be working with the National AIDS Trust and am honoured to play a small part in supporting the crucial work that they do. It’s going to be a fabulous event!”

Robbie Currie, National AIDS Trust’s Chief Executive Officer, added:

“We got such an enthusiastic response to our first Drag Raise event last summer that we just had to do it all again this year. Drag has always played such an important role in both LGBT+ and HIV activism. This is the perfect opportunity to come together for a glamorous and fun-packed evening, while at the same time raising funds that will help us to continue our vital work fighting for HIV rights. As we approach 2030, and the goal to end new transmissions in the UK, this is more urgent than ever before.

“I can’t wait to see Ginger, and the other acts, grace the Drag Raise stage this year!”
