Lenacapavir could be a game-changer for HIV prevention, but right now it is not being made available as PrEP.

Together with 18 other HIV charities and organisations, we’ve written to NHS England, NHS Wales, NICE and Gilead Sciences to express our shared disappointment and call for action.

A six-monthly injectable option of HIV prevention could make a significant difference for people and communities facing health inequalities and help us get closer to ending new HIV transmissions by 2030.

NICE, NHS England, NHS Wales, and Gilead Sciences still have time to agree on a way forward. We urge them to work together as the NICE process concludes and ensure lenacapavir is available for those who need it.
